Funtrain classes are available to children from one year to pre-school age
At Funtrain all our classes are founded on positive reinforcement, this is the key to developing positive behaviour. Gentle coaxing will work – forcing a child to join in before they are ready will not. Praise is the key to developing positive behaviour, independence and confidence and any progress however small needs to be acknowledged by the class leader and reinforced by the parent/carer.
It is important for parents/carers that their child enjoys attending the classes. Some children need more coaxing than others to join in. A child should never be forced to take part in an activity. Some children prefer to watch and observe for a few sessions before feeling confident enough to join in. Repetition of songs and actions will help to reinforce speech and language development. The action songs help improve body awareness and gross motor skills. We use percussions instruments to help develop fine motor skills. What makes our classes successful is that we want every child and their parent/carer to have a really positive, rewarding time.
If this sounds like something you would like to get involved with, then why not contact us and we can chat further and answer all your questions.
