Meet our Franchisees
Amelia and Vicky share their franchise and run classes in Tenterden, St Michael’s and Charing.
Amelia has been working with under 5s for the last 16 years. She is well qualified in both early years and performing arts. She has been coming to the classes with her children for many years.
Vicky is a qualified paediatric physiotherapist and has a special interest in early years and brought her three children along to Funtrain.
“Peggy always made it look like she was having such a great time running the classes and when we heard she was looking to expand the number of classes she offered we were really interested in finding out more. Happy to say that we both love running our own classes and seeing the children grow and develop every week and we aren’t tied down with report writing and endless paperwork which our education and health jobs entail."

Whilst Kerria didn’t have a background in education or performing arts, she had attended the classes with her own children. “I had been to lots of different groups and classes with my own children, but they enjoyed Funtrain more than anything else. I approached Peggy about running my own franchise business.
The training gave me the confidence and understanding of why the classes work and what I needed to do to develop my business. I have attended a Makaton course and Peggy is always there to advise to ensure all the families attending my classes have the same positive, fun experience I had with my children.
I absolutely love running the classes. Working with children was always a dream for me but I didn’t think I could find a career that allowed me to have more time with my children and was financially rewarding.
"The franchise has no restrictions on how many classes, parties or clubs I want to run in my area. There are definite development opportunities but whilst my children are young it enables me to work around them. I will have an opportunity to expand my business in the future when my family commitments fit in”.
Staplehurst, Cranbrook, Biddenden and Headcorn
As the owner of the business, I continue to run my own classes three mornings a week as I absolutely love working with the children. I meet a lot of very dedicated, talented people working in early years but their jobs are extremely demanding for what they get paid.
More classes are needed to meet demand and I understand that giving people the opportunity to run their own franchise would ensure that they had a vested interest in continuing to deliver top quality classes. I know there are talented people really capable of running their own business and I will provide them with all the support and training they need to make it successful.
