How is everyone coping with the childcare during the holidays? If you’re struggling and juggling (and also do so during term time) and frequently wonder what flexible working opportunities are out there, then read on and find out more about our fantastic FunTrain franchises and the opportunities they create – this may be your solution.
Established Company
FunTrain has been running successfully now for almost 20 years and a couple of years ago the time came for me to share our popular concept with a wider audience. It has been really daunting passing on the FunTrain plans to new people but my franchisees have grasped our ethos so well and we are delighted that they are enthusiastically running happy, thriving classes in the FunTrain style. The key to our success is really understanding what young children need and why they behave as they do. Our warm and friendly classes allow the children to demonstrate how they can follow instructions from such an early age by using simple behaviour techniques.
Why we’re not just another children’s music group
FunTrain can on the surface look like other music groups but it is how the classes are lead and the understanding of our ethos that has made us so successful and busy for very many years.
I am passionate about the importance of building confidence and positive behaviour with very young children, the stepping stones for learning, and giving them a great start in life. If a child has learned to listen and take instructions from an early age, they are able to learn and take in all that nursery and school offers them.
Our Tenterden/Ashford/Charing Franchise – what an example!
Amelia and Vicky run their franchise together. Amelia has been working with under 5s for the last 16 years. She brings all her experience alongside her performing arts qualifications.
Vicky was part of the SPARKLE project, which provided training to Early Years Practitioners on different aspects of child development, and in Vicky’s case this was focused around physical play and the acquisition of gross motor skills (large body movements). The team also worked alongside staff in Preschools and nurseries to maximise the children’s potential through a variety of adult-led activities. Vicky is committed to promoting physical development through play, and getting kids really active!
We love running our classes together and watching the children gain confidence and have fun every week. Although we are still using our skills our previous careers taught us, we are free from the endless paperwork and inspections. It is in our interest to ensure every family has a positive experience in our classes. It has been wonderful to be able to spend the summer with our families without the worry of childcare but we are looking forward to getting back to see the children in September!
Running FunTrain classes as their own business –could it be you?
Although Vicky and Amelia have masses of experience and training with early years, this type of experience isn’t always essential. FunTrain will give you all the necessary training and support if you don’t have formal experience and qualifications. One of our other franchisees, has used her experience as a mother to successfully set up and run her classes. She is now Makaton trained and we regularly meet to ensure that every family in her classes has the best experience.
Why Choose Us?
Although it is really difficult to say no to a potential franchisee, reputation is all. It is a significant risk to us and a significant investment for a franchisee. It isn’t in anyone’s interest, therefore, for us to set you up in business if it isn’t going to work. Our classes are genuinely busy and we very much need to establish further classes. The franchise competition for FunTrain is against a number of companies earning their living just from their franchisees. We don’t do that and when you buy a franchise from us you become a part of the supportive FunTrain family.
Our franchise package includes a comprehensive start up package with everything you need but most importantly the personal, ongoing support and training is what makes us stand out. It ensures that every family who attends any FunTrain class has the same high-quality experience.
If you follow the standards of the classes we deliver, you really can run a part-time business that works around your family. Finding term time work without a teaching degree that pays well is extremely difficult. This franchise opportunity means that you are running your own business during term time and whilst you do need to be responsive to potential families in the holidays, this can be done after a day at the beach or a visit to a castle with your own children.
